Sorority Row sequel?

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m greatly anticipating this October’s release of the slasher remake SORORITY ROW (definitely check out my man, Eric’s, set visit right HERE). How can you not be into an R-rated horror flick set at a sorority house amidst a bevy of gorgeous gals? If that ain’t up your ally, then, brother, you’re at the wrong site. I also really enjoyed the little-seen original, titled THE HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW.

Well, it seems that Summit, ROW’s producing company, may think they’ve got a potential hit on their hands because star, Briana Evigan (above), just let out the word that a script is already being concocted for the sequel! Here’s precisely what she told Bloody-D (it may contain SPOILERS, so be careful):

“Yeah, I think SORORITY ROW 2 is in the midst of writing right now. I would think so, I’m not positive yet, we’ll see. My character will definitely be able to return. But we’ll see what happens if there are any other projects I’m working on at the same time as well.”

Hmm, that’s pretty interesting. I have no trouble with SORORITY becoming a possible franchise (as long as the first one is handled nicely enough). I believe director Stewart Hendler is aiming for one helluva ride. I wonder if the remake’s writers, Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger, are handling the sequel too. That’d be a good idea.

I don’t think there’s any need to rehash the fairly obvious stalker-at-a-sorority-house plot, but I will repeat the beautiful cast which, along with Evigan, includes Rumer Willis, Audrina Patridge, Carrie Fisher, Julian Morris, Leah Pipes, Margo Harshman and Jamie Chung. It releases on October 2, 2009.

All the soon-to-be-stalked girls, all in a row.
