Special edition releases of The Funhouse and Slaughter High coming to the U.K.

Britain’s Arrow Video does a top-notch job releasing special edition DVDs and Blu-rays of genre favorites, from classics to hidden gems, in the U.K. American readers, be prepared to get jealous; Arrow will release special editions of THE FUNHOUSE and SLAUGHTER HIGH in July.

THE FUNHOUSE will be released on Blu-ray on July 18, while SLAUGHTER HIGH will get a special edition DVD treatment on July 11. Fangoria got their hands on the cover art, pictured below, as well as the special features. These discs are going to be packed!

1981’s THE FUNHOUSE is directed by Tobe Hooper, written by Lawrence Block and stars Elizabeth Berridge and Shawn Carson. The film will featuring a new, 1080p high-definition transfer along with a ton of special features:

– Audio commentary by makeup FX artist Craig Reardon and FINAL DESTINATION creator Jeffrey Reddick
– Audio commentary by producer Derek Power and genre scholar Howard S. Berger

1986’s SLAUGHTER HIGH is written and directed by George Dugdale, Mark Ezra, and Peter Litten and stars Caroline Munro (below), Simon Scuddamore and Billy Hartman. Special features on the disc as as follows:

– Audio commentary by Munro, Waddell and Allan Bryce
– Introduction by Ezra
– “Jesters and Jolts”: Interview with Ezra
