It seems this past week has been the week for KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM casting announcements, hasn’t it? (See HERE and HERE.) Well the casting news isn’t going to stop anytime soon because courtesy of Bleeding Cool we’ve got word on the first female cast memeber for the horror/comedy… and she’s a beaut!
Summer Glau, star of TV’s “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” is the latest name to join the growing cast for Joe Lynch’s latest film. Finally some X chromosomes in this sonofab*tch! Don’t get me wrong… the casting announcements thus far for KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM have been sweet but personally I was waiting on a woman’s touch for this one, and it’s paid off! The gorgeous Summer Glau (pictured) joins the project alongside Peter Dinklage, Ryan Kwatean, Steve Zahn and Danny Pudi.
A huge group of dedicated, costumed LARP-ers (Live Action Role-Players) , dressed like knights, elves & various characters, who give up their cell phones and take to the woods for the Central New Jersey Knights of Badassdom Adventure Society, where they are set to re-enact a dungeons and dragons scenario right out of the mythical Middle Ages.
After being dumped by his sexy girlfriend Beth, Joe reluctantly decides to join Eric and his Larping friends in the woods rather than stay behind and feel sorry for his newly single status. There he meets hot, ass-kicking, intimidating huntress LARPer Gwen, and finds himself a surreal adventure wilder than he ever imagined when a make-believe wizard casts an all-too-real spell from an ancient book he bought on EBay, releasing an actual demon with a taste for human blood — and souls — that starts systematically decimating the players in this suddenly deadly “game.” Will our guys become the heroes they have been pretending to be before time runs out?
KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM is really starting to shape up! The flick is set to start filming next month in Spokane, Washington so we’ll probably be hearing some more casting announcements very soon. As always be sure to keep it here for more as we hear it!
