Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trading Cards may reveal how Luke got to Ahch-To

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

I'm not going to lie. I'm totally thinking about ducking out of work to celebrate Force Friday II. You see, there's a Toys R Us just down the road from my house, and I could easily snag some of the cool, news toys that hit the shelves earlier today. I already own a few lightsabers, but would not be opposed to adding a Porg stuffie or app-controlled BB-9E to my little collection. The best part is that it doesn't have to stop there. There's also some amazing new LEGO sets going up for sale as well as a new line of Funko Pop! figurines. I mean really, who needs next month's rent money anyway, right?

In addition to all of the cool stuff listed above, the Topps trading card company is also getting in on the Force Friday II action with the release of a brand-new set of STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI collectible cards. Each card in the set features one (if not many) of your favorite Star Wars characters, either standing proudly among their comrades or operating solo while visiting a familiar locale. There's even one card that features Rey standing on a cliff, overlooking a swirling body of water. If you look closely beneath the surface of the crashing waves, you can see a downed X-Wing on the ocean floor. Could this be how Luke arrived at the island of Ahch-To? Will Rey and Luke use the force to pull it out of the water a la THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK-style?

You can check the above-mentioned card out below and begin speculating wildly:

Meanwhile, several other cards from the set can be seen here:

Good luck securing all of your most-anticipated Star Wars swag, today! STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI will force its way into theaters on December 15th
