American Gods posits a different kind of war brewing – one between Old Gods and New. Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) is an ex-con who, left adrift by the recent death of his wife, becomes bodyguard and traveling partner to conman Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane). But in truth, Mr. Wednesday is a powerful old deity, on a cross-country mission to build an army and reclaim his lost glory. For fans looking forward to this adaptation of the Neil Gaiman novel, Starz has announced that the series will premiere on Sunday, April 30th at 9PM ET/PT. If that wasn't enough, we also have some new key art to get you hyped!

While I'm not familiar with the source material, the synopsis for this one seems really unique and boasts an intriguing cast that also includes Emily Browning, Pablo Schreiber, Crispin Glover and Orlando Jones, to name a few. Then again, Ian McShane could sit there, reading a phone book, and I'd still tune in weekly. Let's see if Gods is more exciting than a phone book..
