Stefanie Scott of INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3 and Jess Weixler of the vagina dentata classic TEETH have signed on to star in HELL HOUSE, an indie horror film that doesn't have anything to do with THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE or HELL HOUSE, LLC. This HELL HOUSE is written and directed by Andrew Gori, and will delve into

the complicated relationship between small town high school peers Dawn and Makayla in the Deep South, on the eve of a religious-themed Halloween attraction or “hell house” grand opening, and the various townspeople who try to keep the two apart, with disastrous results.

I've been to a few religious-themed "hell houses" over the years, so I'm interested in seeing what sort of horror story Gori has built around the concept. The fact that the movie is going to star Stefanie Scott and Jess Weixler makes me even more interested in seeing it.

Scott and Weixler are joined in the cast by Odessa Adlon, Gene Jones, and Michael Abbott Jr.

A Camera Ready Pictures production, HELL HOUSE is being produced by Dennis Masel, Jamie Dolan, William Day Frank, and Tara Ansley.

Filming is scheduled to begin this fall.
