Director Joe Begos and his cast have completed one week of working on the Fangoria production V.F.W., and to mark the occasion Begos shared a photo on his Instagram account that shows him hanging out with the film's stars Stephen Lang, Martin Kove (pictured above on Cobra Kai), and William Sadler, all four of them splattered with blood by the action that had taken place on set.

Written by Max Brallier and Matthew McArdle, V.F.W. follows

Fred and his military buddies as they must defend their local VFW post – and an innocent teen – against a deranged drug dealer and his relentless army of punk mutants. These Vietnam vets have been to hell and back, but this will be the longest night of their lives.

In the cast with Lang, Kove, and Sadler are Fred "The Hammer" Williamson, David Patrick Kelly, George Wendt, Sierra McCormick, Dora Madison, Tom Williamson, Travis Hammer, Graham Skipper, and Jesse Kove.

The cast, the set-up of Vietnam vets fighting punk mutants, and the description that the story is like "THE WILD BUNCH meets NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD" all work together to make V.F.W. one of my most highly anticipated upcoming films. I can't wait to see this cast share the screen while fighting for their lives, but in the meantime it's cool to see that Lang, Kove, and Sadler are having a good time getting blood-soaked during production.

V.F.W. is being produced by Dallas Sonnier, Amanda Presmyk, and Josh Ethier, with David Gilbery, Charles Dorfman, Adam Donaghey, Phil Nobile Jr, Danielle Cox, Bobby Campbell, Noah Lang, Stephen Lang, Matthew McArdle, and Max Brallier serving as executive producers.
