THE FOURTH KIND director Olatunde Osunsanmi is currently working on EVIDENCE, a found footage thriller that pieces together the events of a horrible massacre via camcorder, security tapes, etc. The project has been humming along for a few months now with a cast of predominantly unfamiliar names, but it would appear as though Osunsanmi has nabbed a couple of familiar faces to lead the ensemble.

According to production company Sierra Affinity’s official page, “True Blood” star Stephen Moyer (who just wrapped Darren Lynn Bousman’s THE BARRENS) and Radha Mitchell (THE CRAZIES) are in the thriller. They join Nolan Gerard Funk, Dale Dickey, Caitlin Stasey, Torrey DeVitto, Albert Kuo and Harry Lennix.

EVIDENCE is a unique “found footage” style story that opens in the middle of the desert outside of Los Angeles, where a massacre has just occurred. The only evidence at the crime scene is the victim’s personal electric devices, including a camcorder, camera and two cell phones. With nothing else to go on, two detectives must analyze the bits of found footage to piece together the identity of the ruthless killer.

John Swetnam wrote the screenplay for EVIDENCE, which is expected to come out sometime in 2012.
