Stranger Things Day: Netflix is celebrating their hit series next Monday

November 6, 2023 will mark the 40th anniversary of the day Will Byers went missing in the town of Hawkins, Indiana – within the reality of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, that is. A Netflix press release notes that “Long after the town gave up the search, his friends kept looking… and discovered a mysterious girl known only by a number: Eleven. She was alone, hunted, and extremely powerful. Eleven would stop at nothing to help them find their friend.” As we saw in the first season of Stranger Things. The press release continues, “Stranger Things fans everywhere celebrate November 6 as ‘Stranger Things Day,’ a special day to share their love for the world of Stranger Things. Here at Netflix, we’re observing November 6 by looking back at the first four seasons, offering new teases on our social channels, unveiling limited edition merchandise online and in brick-and-mortar stores around the world and more!”

Yep, there’s a whole hell of a lot of Stranger Things in the world these days. Even though the writers strike (now over) followed by the actors strike (still going) has delayed the filming of the fifth and final season, Netflix is right when they say “Stranger Things fans, we have you covered as we celebrate the world of this beloved series and what’s to come.”

Season 5 will be the final season of Stranger Things, but there are other projects in the works, including the Stranger Things: The First Shadow stage play and an untitled animated spinoff series.
