Netflix has released a batch of images that show moments and characters from Stranger Things season 4, volume 2. Coming in July!Netflix has released a batch of images that show moments and characters from Stranger Things season 4, volume 2. Coming in July!

In seventeen days, on July 1st, the Netflix streaming service will be releasing the last two episodes of Stranger Things season 4 – the last two episodes being what they’re calling “Volume 2” of the season. It may seem odd to release seven episodes of a season and then hold off on releasing the last two, but there’s still a lot of stuff left to see in those last two episodes. Episode 8 reportedly has a running time of 85 minutes, while episode 9 is 139 minutes long. So there’s almost four hours packed into two episodes; it’s basically like getting four new episodes of a regular show. Or two Stranger Things movies. However you want to look at it. Either way, Netflix has released a batch of first look images that preview the episodes that make up Stranger Things season 4, volume 2, and you can see them at the bottom of this article.

Stranger Things season 4 has the following synopsis:

It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.

Episodes of Stranger Things season 4 were written by the Duffer Brothers (401, 402, 407, 408, 409), Caitlin Schneiderhan (403), Paul Dichter (404), Kate Trefry (405), and Curtis Gwinn (406). They were directed by the Duffer Brothers (401, 402, 407, 408, 409), Shawn Levy (403, 404), and Nimród Antal (405, 406).
