Super powers and time travel fill the new trailer for Miss Peregrine’s Home

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Based upon the novel of the same name, MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN tells the story of a boy named Jake (Asa Butterfield), who discovers a mystery that spans alternate realities and times. This leads him to uncover a secret refuge known as Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As he learns about the residents and their unusual abilities, Jake realizes that safety is an illusion, and danger lurks in the form of powerful, hidden enemies. Check out the new trailer for Tim Burton's latest!

Aside from <insert obligatory X-men comment here>, MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME looks like it brings Tim Burton back to his comfort zone, in a good way. It's hard to tell from these trailers, but without knowing the source material, I really hope we become invested in these peculiar children. The time loop element is a fascinating aspect as well, so I'm curious to see how that will play out in the grand scheme of things.

MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN will open in theaters on September 30, 2016.
