The dude who adapted THE GRUDGE, and the upcoming remake of PROM NIGHT (along with THE GRUDGE 2), has just been signed on to adapt another horror flick… this time around, it’s Herbert Lieberman’s novel CRAWLSPACE.
Man, some dudes get all the work… anyway, the premise sounds cool as hell: a retired couple has a shy, and just a little off young dude over for dinner after he spends some time fixing their heater. Over the next few weeks some weird shit starts happening. Then they fing out one day the dude has been living in thier crawlspace.
Since they guy wrote THE GRUDGE (er, adapted it anyway), it seems he knows a thing or two about creepin’ us out when it comes to shit happening in attics and/or crawlspaces, so I’d say he’s definately up for the job.
No word on who’s directing yet, but as soon as Paramount picks someone, we’ll be the first to let ya know!
