Producer Joel Silver chatted with today about the upcoming supernatural thriller THE REAPING which stars Hilary Swank. It turns out that the helmer for it will not be James Cox, whom he had previously mentioned. Instead Stephen Hopkins will take the reins.
Yes he is the guy behind LOST IN SPACE, but he also hit up and JUDGEMENT NIGHT which are both underrated in my opinion. So why him? Silver didn’t say.
What he did share is that the flick will be more mature in tone than this summer’s HOUSE OF WAX. That may unfortunately mean no gratuitous boob shots of the lovely Ms. Swank as she goes about debunking miracles.

But hey, to make up for it we might well get heavy religious iconography which is a good time in genre flicks.
