Just a couple weeks back, Jared P. broke the totally awesome story that POINT BREAK was getting the sequel treatment! And now comes news that, if true, would be the ultimate rush! Check this: BODHI MAY BE BACK! And by Bodhi, I mean, of course, Patrick Swayze! How friggin’ sweet would that be?! I mean, I know Mr. Swayze has recently had major health troubles (and we all wish him the best), but I heard he is now starting to get back to work. POINT BREAK 2 would be an ideal job; at least that is what the flick’s producers think. Here’s what one of the sequel’s insiders had to say:

“The producers are trying to figure out a way – any way – to get Patrick in the movie. One day, two days, a week of shooting – whatever they can get Patrick for, they’ll make it work. He was so pivotal to the first movie.”

Apparently even is Swayze doesn’t sign up for PB2, he’ll be a part of it regardless. Check out what else the insider mentioned:

“There will be flashbacks and references to the old plot lines and characters. So, regardless, Patrick will be featured in the movie. It wouldn’t be the same without him.”

I agree. I’d even prefer having him back over Mr. “I AM AN FBI AGENT” Keanu. I knew that giant Australian wave at the end of PB1 wasn’t enough to take down the Bodhi Man! Now let’s see if they can lure Gary Busey back! I mean, sure he got shot in the back in the first one, but we never saw him die!

POINT BREAK: INDO (the sequel’s official title) from director Jan De Bont (THE HAUNTING) is looking to release some time in 2009.

She can be in PB2.
