We're less than two months away from the June 14th premiere of the Syfy series Blood Drive, a "highly stylized throwback to 1970s grindhouse cinema" that I have been keeping track of ever since it was first announced in July of 2015, anxiously waiting for the day I could tune in to watch the show.

Created by James Roland, Blood Drive has the following synopsis:

Los Angeles in the near future: where water is a scarce as oil, gas costs $60 per gallon, and climate change keeps the temperature at a cool 115 in the shade. It’s a place where no one can walk down the street without protection, where crime is so rampant that only the worst violence is punished, and where Arthur Bailey — the city’s last good cop — runs afoul of the dirtiest and meanest underground car rally in the world, Blood Drive.  The master of ceremonies is a vaudevillian nightmare, The drivers are homocidal deviants, and the cars run on human blood. Buckle Up, Lube Up and prepare for everything you know about Cable Television to Blow up!

Alan Ritchson, Thomas Dominique, Christina Ochoa, Marama Corlett, and Colin Cunningham star in the show, which will have a thirteen episode first season.

With the season premiere airdate speeding up on us fast, Syfy has dropped a batch of short and sweet promos online to give us a taste of what Blood Drive has in store for viewers. I have expected this show to be over-the-top crazy, and some of the promos below reflect my expectations exactly… Then there are a few that reveal this show is going to be even more goofball insane than I had imagined.

These promos only serve to further solidify intentions I've had for nearly two years now: I am going to be watching Blood Drive.
