Synopsis

Based on the nonfiction novel The Orchid Thief, by Susan Orlean, which is itself based on the true story of John Laroche, a plant dealer who conspired with three Seminole Indians to clone rare orchids and sell them at exorbitant rates... See more to plant collectors. But that’s just the half of it. The movie also tells of screenwriter Charlie Kaufman’s (Being John Malkovich) attempts to adapt the novel to the big screen. In his effort to overcome writer’s block, Kaufman seeks the help of his (fictional) brother, Donald.
