Taking Shape II: 600 page book gives info on 24 unmade Halloween films

I'm a big fan of slasher franchises, so I'm always eager to learn more about the sequels and reboots that didn't get made – like the many rejected scripts that were written for FREDDY VS. JASON, and FRIDAY THE 13TH, NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, and HALLOWEEN films that didn't make it into production, for whatever reason. I have gotten my hands on the scripts for several HALLOWEEN movies that weren't to be, but not even close to 24 of them. So I'm definitely going to have to pick up a copy of Dustin McNeill and Travis Mullins' new book TAKING SHAPE II: THE LOST HALLOWEEN SEQUELS.

Now available for purchase on Amazon, TAKING SHAPE II has the following description:

Authors Dustin McNeill and Travis Mullins are back to bring you an inside look at TWENTY-FOUR lost Halloween sequels you never saw on the big screen! Learn about these fascinating unmade visions direct from their creators, many of whom have never spoken publicly on the subject before. At 600 pages, TAKING SHAPE II is brimming with untold franchise history. The journey begins with an insightful foreword by Halloween: 25 Years of Terror producer Anthony Masi. So, what are you waiting for? Grab the candy corn and settle in for THE LOST HALLOWEEN SEQUELS!

TAKING SHAPE II covers:
– An alternate Halloween III pitched decades after the first one!
– Three unused versions of Halloween 4 – one with Laurie Strode!
– Exclusive details on an early Halloween 5 – with evil Jamie Lloyd!
– The Halloween 6 nearly produced by Quentin Tarantino!
– An early version of Halloween 7 before it became H20!
– Three different sequels to Halloween: Resurrection!
– Insight into how a crossover with Hellraiser almost came to be!
– Two different stabs at a 3D sequel in the Rob Zombie era!
– A reboot with TWO Shapes! (And another with one hundred!)
– A reboot that introduced the Halloween Multi-verse!

This book is a follow-up to McNeill and Mullins' 2019 book TAKING SHAPE (buy it HERE), which covered the HALLOWEEN films we've actually gotten over the decades.

McNeill also covered the development of FREDDY VS. JASON in his book SLASH OF THE TITANS (buy it HERE), which was an invaluable resource when I was writing the script for the FREDDY VS JASON: WTF HAPPENED TO THIS HORROR MOVIE video embedded below.
