The anthology series Tales of the Walking Dead will be premiering on AMC sometime this summer, and to hold us over until they’re ready to announce the specific release date the network has released a short teaser trailer for the show. Very short – it’s only 15 seconds. You can check it out in the embed above and get a quick glimpse of the characters that will be played by the likes of Terry Crews (The Expendables), Parker Posey (Lost in Space), and Olivia Munn (The Predator). You can also see Samantha Morton in there, reprising the role of Alpha.

It’s good to see that Parker Posey is playing a very Posey type of character in her appearance on the show.

The first season of Tales of the Walking Dead will consist of six episodes. Three of those episodes were directed by series producer and Walking Dead franchise veteran Michael Satrazemis, while Haifaa al-Mansour (Good Lord Bird), Deborah Kampmeier (Star Trek: Picard), and Tara Nicole Weyr (The Wilds) each directed one episode.

Executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer of the Walking Dead Universe, and showrunner Channing Powell, who has been a writer and producer on The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking DeadTales of the Walking Dead is an

episodic anthology of six original, standalone stories focused on both new and established characters within the walker apocalypse.

In addition to the actors mentioned above, the Tales of the Walking Dead cast includes Anthony Edwards (ER), Poppy Liu (Hacks), Jillian Bell (Rough Night), Daniella Pineda (Cowboy Bebop), Jessie T. Usher (The Boys), Danny Ramirez (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Loan Chabanol (Fading Gigolo), Embeth Davidtz (Army of Darkness), and Gage Munroe (Nobody).

This seems like a show that might even be appealing to viewers who gave up on the Walking Dead franchise a while ago. So let us know, by leaving a comment below, whether or not you’re looking forward to Tales of the Walking Dead.
