I’m going to be completely honest with you guys – I haven’t really been paying attention to M. Night Shyamalan’s AFTER EARTH. Can you blame me? I mean it’s M. Night Shyamalan!
But alas it’s my duty as an AITH news editor to bring you all the latest from our beloved genre so here I am with today’s AFTER EARTH update. It seems both Shyamalan and star Will Smith have been sharing some goods from the set of the film and that’s exactly what I’m here to tell you about! You see over at Smith’s Facebook page he’s been sharing some behind the scenes shots, which I’ve tossed up above and below. Then over at M. Night Shyamalan’s WhoSay site there’s tons more behind the scenes goods to check out, including video! Now I’ve tossed a couple of the shots down below but you’ll want to head right HERE for the rest.
The story is set in a future in which humans no longer live on Earth after it becomes inhospitable. The elder Smith is playing a hero, while Jaden is his son, considered a failure as a warrior. When the two crash-land on Earth, it’s up to the son to save the dad.
Along with Smith the post-apocalyptic sci-fier also stars Jaden Smith, Isabelle Fuhrman, Zoe Kravitz (below) and Sophie Okonedo. We’ll be sure to bring you any other updates that might roll our way or AFTER EARTH, which is due to hit theaters next Summer on June 7, 2013.
