Despite the fact it was written by the guys who scribbled out the RIDE ALONG movies, AEON FLUX and R.I.P.D., THE INVITATION is one of the more exciting genre titles on the horizon. The buzz has been very good out of SXSW, Sitges and the Stanley Film Festival (among many others), and the Karyn Kusama-directed suspense thriller has that alluring “don’t tell anyone what it’s really about” vibe that we go nuts for, so consider us all in on this dinner party from hell. The first official teaser for THE INVITATION has hit via EW, so pull up a chair and learn a little more about the next big thing in horror.

The tension is palpable when Will (Logan Marshall-Green) shows up to his ex-wife Eden (Tammy Blanchard) and new husband, David’s (Michiel Huisman) dinner party. The pair’s tragic past haunts an equally spooky present: Amid Eden’s suspicious behavior and her mysterious house guests, Will becomes convinced that his invitation was extended with a hidden agenda.

Hitting theaters and VOD on March 25 in theaters and on VOD, THE INVITATION stars Logan Marshall Green, Tammy Blanchard, Emayatzy Corinealdi, John Carroll Lynch and Michiel Huisman.
