Teaser poster and promo video for Park Chan-Wook’s Stoker starring Nicole Kidman and Mia Wasikowska

JoBloJoBlo

The folks at Empire have the new poster for Park Chan-Wook’s upcoming U.S. debut STOKER, starring Nicole Kidman, Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode, and Dermot Mulroney.  Beyond that, they have a sweet promo video to go along with the poster.  Sounds crazy, right?  No, it’s totally cool, I assure you.  Showing a nice batch of new clips from the film, the promo shows the making of the poster as artist’s create the various pieces of it, while underscored with a new song by Emily Wells, called “Becomes the Color.”

It’s very much like a music video trailer for the film and the making-of the poster, which is a nice new twist on the marketing angle.  I dig it and would like to see more films tackle this angle in their advertising approach.  It doesn’t hurt that the film looks creepy cool, especially coming from OLDBOY and SYMPATHY FOR MR. VENGEANCE director Chan-Wook.

STOKER will hit theaters on March 1, 2013.
