Guy Pearce: Sarcastic badass. Who knew?

That’s the highlight of this teaser trailer for LOCKOUT, a sci-fi action thriller produced by Luc Besson; Pearce seems to be taking a page from Kurt Russell’s book in this one by acting like a too-cool-for-school tough guy who doesn’t flinch at getting a fistful of fist across the face.

The rest of the teaser is pretty much a blur, but I expect we’ll see a high quality version the closer we get to the release date of APRIL 20, 2012.

Directed by James Mather and Stephen St. Leger, LOCKOUT tells the story of a falsely convicted ex-government agent (Pearce) whose only chance of freedom is to accept a dangerous mission to rescue the president’s daughter (Maggie Grace) from rioting prisoners at an outer space maximum security prison.

The film also stars Peter Stormare, Vincent Regan, Jacky Ido and Lennie James.
