Besides watching the Oscars to hear awesome victory speeches from J.K. Simmons, Michael Keaton, and Julianne Moore (I said it), we can also look forward to some musical performances. The Academy confirmed today that Tegan and Sarah and The Lonely Island (Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer) will be performing the Oscar-nominated song "Everything Is Awesome" from THE LEGO MOVIE during the ceremony. It was defiantly in my head most of last year, so let’s see if the live version will have the same effect.

As you know, Best Original Song is the only category THE LEGO MOVIE is nominated in after being shut out for Best Animated Feature for some bizarre reason. For song it’s up against "Glory" from SELMA which will also be performed on the telecast by John Legend and Common.
The Oscars will be live on ABC Sunday, February 22nd.
