Terror Train 2, a sequel to the Terror Train remake that was released through the Tubi streaming service back in October, will be available to watch on Tubi in the U.S. as of December 31st. In Canada, it’s being released on Bell Media’s Crave. And with the film’s release just a couple days away, a trailer has arrived online to give us a preview of what we’re in store for this time around. You can check it out in the embed above.

While the 1980 slasher cult classic Terror Train (watch it HERE) takes place on New Year’s Eve, the remake moved the setting to Halloween. Terror Train 2 returns to the New Year’s Eve setting, telling the following story: It has been over a year since a series of gruesome murders took the lives of multiple college seniors aboard the now infamous Terror Train. Alana is coerced to join The Magician and other remaining survivors on a New Year’s Eve redemption ride aboard the very same train, where once again the terrified passengers fight to survive.

Robyn Alomar reprises the role of Alana, with Tim Rozon back as The Magician.

The Terror Train remake had the following synopsis: In this contemporary reimagining, eerie excitement is in the air as Alana and a group of college seniors board a party train for a Halloween-themed bash, but their fun spirals into fear as attendees are killed off one by one by an unknown killer. Concealed by costumes and plagued with chaos, everyone is a suspect. As the party train continues full steam ahead, Alana must race against the rails to find the killer before she becomes the next victim.

Both the remake and Terror Train 2 were directed by Philippe Gagnon and written by Ian Carpenter and Aaron Martin.

Tubi’s Chief Content Officer Adam Lewinson had this to say about the sequel: “Our remake reintroduced a new generation to Terror Train, and now Tubi’s first ever horror sequel expands on the premise with a completely original storyline. This new ride aboard the Terror Train begins on New Year’s Eve with ‘Final Girl’ Alana and the mysterious Magician facing a new menace in this horror whodunit.

These Terror Train projects are a collaboration between Tubi and Incendo. Incendo’s Brook Peters provided the following statement: “Horror-genre franchises have proven time and time again to be some of the most successful film brands. In the sequel, we’re thrilled to offer horror fans a seamless and terrifying continuation of the story that also pays a themed-tribute to the original 1980 cult classic.

Our reviewer Tyler Nichols gave the Terror Train remake a 4/10 review (you can read it HERE). I had a slightly more positive reaction and thought it was an okay way to spend 90 minutes or so. I’ll be watching Terror Train 2 when it reaches Tubi. Will you? Let us know what you thought of the Terror Train 2 trailer by leaving a comment below.
