Tethered trailer finds a creature lurking in the woods – Exclusive!

Gravitas Ventures will be giving director Daniel Robinette’s creature feature / psychological horror film Tethered a theatrical and VOD release on March 18th, and today we here at Arrow in the Head are proud to share the EXCLUSIVE first look at the trailer! Check it out in the embed above.

Scripted by Robinette, Jeff Cox, and Michael Scott, Tethered tells the following story:

In the remote woods of North Carolina, a blind teenager named Solomon lives by himself in total isolation. Despite his impairment, Solomon is able to navigate his surroundings by tying a long rope around his waist that stays tethered to the cabin where he lives. Armed with only his tether, Solomon survives by fishing, foraging, and trapping small animals for food. His only other stimulation is a tape recorded message containing three mysterious rules: The First Rule: When you hunt or scavenge, do it for two—one for the forest and one for you. The Second Rule: When your will is almost gone and you feel like giving up, find comfort in singing our song. The Third Rule: You must never, ever let go of the rope.

The trailer shows why it’s so important to follow those three rules; there appears to be some kind of monster lurking out there in the woods.

The film’s cast includes Alexandra Paul (Stephen King and John Carpenter’s Christine), Kareem Ferguson (Talking with the Taxman About Poetry), and Jared Laufree, who plays Solomon.

Laufree previously played Solomon in a short version of Tethered that Robinette made in 2017. Robinette and Cox wrote that version of the story with Aaron Sorgius. The short was 12 minutes long, and the feature length Tethered is reportedly 88 minutes.

The new Tethered is Robinette’s feature debut.
