The Boys: Character posters poke fun at Batman projects past and present

The Boys, character posters, Batman

The Boys is having a bit of fun with their recently released character posters as they all take a little jab at Batman projects from the past and present.

The posters are to promote the upcoming third season of the popular Amazon superhero show and each member of The Boys gets their own poster in the set. They all take aim at a variety of big-screen Batman adventures and it’s pretty much in line with the humor we have come to know and love from the series. You can take a look at the character posters below!

Not a lot is known about season 3 of The boys but showrunner Eric Kripke recently teased that we will be getting the first trailer soon. Taking to social media Kripke said, “Alright, here’s an update on #TheBoysTV since you keep asking & I’m buzzed. We’ve final mixed 4 out of 8. Couple hundred VFX shots to finish, but they’re awesome. Just locked our first trailer today, will be out in a few weeks. GET READY.” We also know that Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles will be joining the show this season as Soldier Boy.

On The Boys, a present-day world is imagined where superheroes, controlled by the unscrupulous Vought corporation, purport to stand for “truth and justice” while secretly committing heinous acts. During season two, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon), and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) were on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. The Supes of The Seven also includes Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), The Deep (Chace Crawford), and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), while Karl Urban plays Butcher. The series also stars Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, and Aya Cash.

Do YOU like the character posters? The Boys season 3 is set to premiere on Prime Video on June 3, 2022.
