The cast of The Walking Dead talks Season Five possibilities

Last night’s season finale of “The Walking Dead” ended on a rather strange note. (Read our review right HERE.) Not only did it leave us with a tense cliffhanger, it also offered up an unlikely mixture of dread and hope. Yes, Rick and the gang have been trapped by a fiendishly organized group of cannibals, but as Rick notes, the Terminus folk don’t know who they’re screwing with. Rick, having fully become the man he’s meant to be – that is to say a strong leader who will do anything to survive – is so confidant in his and his group’s abilities that he’s already plotting how they’ll turn the tables on their captives.

I, for one, thought it was a terrific ending to a season that was very much a mixed bag.

So where do we go from here? What can we expect from Season Five? Andrew Lincoln has three words for us: “Messy, brutal, thrilling.” He and some other key members of the cast and crew speculate on what’s to come in the next season in the video below, so give it a look.

Season Five of “The Walking Dead” will begin airing in October.
