The Children, produced by James Wan, adds Raymond Cruz as a shaman

Raymond Cruz Breaking Bad

Character actor Raymond Cruz has appeared in more than 80 projects, so there are plenty of films and TV shows you may know him from. Maybe an action movie like UNDER SIEGE or CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER. Maybe you remember him from ALIEN: RESURRECTION or FROM DUSK TILL DAWN 2: TEXAS BLOOD MONEY. Or maybe you know him from something like My Name Is Earl, Breaking Bad, or Better Call Saul. The list of possibilities goes on.

Cruz will be stepping into the horror genre once again for his latest project, as he has signed on to co-star with Linda Cardellini, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Patricia Velasquez in the James Wan production THE CHILDREN.

Directed by Michal Chaves from a screenplay by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis, THE CHILDREN has the following synopsis:

A social worker investigating the mysterious disappearance of two children discovers her own family might also be in jeopardy.

Exactly what sort of horror is at work here has not been revealed, but the description of Cruz's character indicates that there will be a supernatural element at play. That character is a former Catholic priest who is now a shaman. So chances are that Cruz will be brought in at some point during the story to perform some kind of ritual to help protect the social worker and her children.

That's just an assumption, but that's usually how these things go. It's cliché, but it will be good to see Cruz in the film regardless.
