THE CONJURING 2 – aka THE CONJURING: THE ENFIELD POLTERGIEST – has brought in a fresh face to square off against those pesky apparitions. The Hollywood Reporter claims Frances O’Connor (A.I.) has joined the James Wan film, taking on the role of a concerned mom.

O’Connor will play the mother of a girl who is experiencing a haunting and desperate for help. Naturally, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga’s Ed and Lorraine Warren will be there to lend assistance. The film is said to be inspired by England’s most infamous case of paranormal activity, the Enfield Poltergeist. O’Connor is an Aussie but I bet she can do a mean English accent.

The screenplay was penned by THE CONJURING’s Chad and Carey Hayes, with revisions by David Leslie Johnson (who is supposedly penning the new Nightmare on Elm Street film).

THE CONJURING 2 will be released June 10, 2016.
