Today I’m going to take you on a quick trip down memory lane. You see exactly a year ago today I told you all about a line of collectible genre figures from Sideshow Collectibles called THE DEAD. This line of figures included various different zombies, from a Santa Claus to a school girl to a priest. Fast forward exactly a year and I’m here today to tell you all about Sideshow’s newest line of THE DEAD figures!

Actually these aren’t figures at all, they’re busts! Above you’ll see a shot of the three busts that make up Sideshow’s THE DEAD: SPECIMENS line. The latest addition to the Sideshow Original The Dead collection, Sideshow proudly brings you The Dead: Specimens Legendary Scale Bust Set. This plague-ridden trio, including Specimen 090: Probe, Specimen 187: Bullet, and Specimen 419: Lobotomy, depicts just a few of the desperate attempts to eliminate The Dead. Each piece is individually painted and finished, each with its own unique quality and detail that is the trademark of a handcrafted Sideshow Collectibles product. The Dead: Specimens Legendary Scale Bust Set is an outstanding addition to any display.

Want some backstory? The origin of the virus is yet unknown as humanity struggles to contain the Dead. Without answers, the hordes multiply rapidly. Few attempts to kill them have succeeded, but scientists have gathered a small number of specimens for testing and training. The answer seems to lay with the head, the brain of the once reanimated corpse. These specimens seem to offer a cure, and when they find one, you must Be Ready.

Well that works. Above you get a glimpse of these beautiful bastards but if you head right over HERE you can scope out over a dozen other images of the collectibles and even order the set of three for a hefty price tag of $225! Hurry though, these are a limited edition of only 200! In case you want even more I’ve gone ahead and thrown up a promo video for THE DEAD: SPECIMENS directly below, which can also be found in our videos section. Enjoy!

Next up we’ve got not one, but two new figures of TERMINATOR 2’s T-800. First up we’ve got that goofy looking bastard you see to the right, which is coming at us from NECA. Here’s the skinny:

As the world sits in awe of yet another James Cameron classic, NECA pays homage to the greatest and most groundbreaking of them all: Terminator 2: Judgment Day with this incredibly lifelike 12″ figure of the T-800 as he appeared in the last moments of the final battle of the film.

The figure, titled the ‘Final Battle’ T-800, stands at 12” with the likeness of star Arnold Schwarzenegger at a 1/6 scale. The ‘Final Battle’ T-800 sports a light up cybernetic right eye and comes with a grenade launcher! Fun! This dude has had one rough night… ‘Final Battle’ T-800 is coming at us next month but you can go ahead and PRE-ORDER YOURS NOW for $21!

Next up we’ve got our second T-800 of the day: TERMINATOR 2’s T-800 from Hot Toys’ Movie Masterpiece Series! This bad boy can be seen above and below. Like the other T-800 this one also features the likeness of Arnold Schwarzenegger at a 1/6 scale. Damn I was hoping for a likeness to Sylvester Stallone… Ready for the details?

-Newly developed rubber upper body with PVC material limbs, further stands out the muscular body and which also highly imitates the genuine Arnold one in the T2 movie
– Stands even taller with approximately 32 cm height
– Over 30 points of articulations
– Two pairs of interchangeable palms (a pair of punches and a pair of relaxed palms) plus one right palm for holding the shotgun
– An interchangeable left forearm featuring bloody and articulated endoskeleton
– Each piece of head sculpt is specially hand-painted

The T-800 comes with a pistol, a shotgun, a costume of black leather-like jacket and pants, grey-color T-shirt and black-color boots which imitates his style in the movie, a leather-like belt with buckle, a gold-color rose box with a bunch of 6 red roses, black-lens sunglasses with black-color frame and a figure base with T800 nameplate and the movie logo. The big guy is hitting us in Quarter 2 of this year but you can head right over HERE to scope out a host of other images of the figure now!

And lastly we’ve got some collectible TWILIGHT figures… Now usually I wouldn’t look twice at a news item like this but I just had to pass this along to all of you. This specific set of figures features a ‘sparkling variant.’ I sh*t you not ladies and gentlemen. I bet the little teen girls will be tearing down the doors at Toys R Us for this one!

Did you know NECA had a first set of figures from THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON? Me neither. But they do. And this is Series 2!

The guys over at Dread Central give us a look at the shot above, obviously showing us what we can expect from NEW MOON: Series 2. Shirtless Jacob, Jasper, a *new* sculpt of Edward Cullen and a ‘sparkling variant’ of the same figure. Wow… just wow.

In case you’re actually interested these figures are set to hit stores this April.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA’s Ashley Greene… Just because.
