Evil Dead NECA figure for 40th anniversary fully revealed!

The collectible makers at NECA are celebrating 40th anniversary of the first screening of Sam Raimi’s classic feature debut The Evil Dead (watch it HERE) by releasing an Ash Williams action figure that matches the look of the iconic hero in the original film, and they’ve been teasing us with this figure all year. The tease started when they shared a picture of his accessories back in February, then continued when they showed the figure relaxing beside some of the accessories in August. Now they have finally gone ahead and fully revealed the figure in all his glory, with all of his accessories:

The figure comes with three different heads, a couple extra hands, a tape recorder, a lantern, an axe, a shotgun, and a chainsaw. This is Ash right when his time as a Deadite killer is getting started, before he loses his right hand and straps the chainsaw onto his wrist.

NECA’s Ultimate Ash action figure won’t be available in the year of the 40th anniversary. Collectors will be able to put this miniature Bruce Campbell on their shelves sometime in early 2022.

The original The Evil Dead has the following synopsis:

Ash (Bruce Campbell), his girlfriend Linda (Betsy Baker), his sister Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss), and couple Scotty (Hal Delrich) and Shelly (Sarah York), drive to a remote cabin in the woods for a fun getaway. While there, they find the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis (aka “The Book of the Dead”), an ancient tome whose text reawakens the dead when read out loud. After unintentionally releasing a flood of evil, the five friends must fight for their lives or become possessed.

Campbell played Ash in The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, Army of Darkness, and three seasons of the Ash vs. Evil Dead television series. He has also voiced the character for multiple video games. Are you going to grab this Evil Dead NECA figure for your collection?
