Black Sheep video! We defend the 1990 sequel Predator 2 with Danny Glover!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

1987's PREDATOR (which you can watch HERE) is widely considered to be one of the best sci-fi action movies ever made. The 1990 sequel PREDATOR 2 (watch it HERE) is more divisive; some fans think it's a solid sequel, some even like it better than its predecessor, but a lot of viewers found it to be a disappointing follow-up to the John McTiernan / Arnold Schwarzenegger classic.

In the latest episode of our The Black Sheep video series, Lance Vlcek is here to defend the sequel. Check out the video embedded above to hear what Lance has to say about PREDATOR 2!

Directed by Stephen Hopkins from a screenplay by PREDATOR screenwriters Jim and John Thomas, PREDATOR 2 stars Danny Glover, Gary Busey, Ruben Blades, Maria Conchita Alonso, Bill Paxton, Robert Davi, Adam Baldwin, and Kevin Peter Hall. The synopsis:

Los Angeles is enduring a heat wave and a crime wave, so the pressure on police officer Michael Harrigan (Glover) to solve a strange string of murders is mounting. Harrigan thinks the culprit can be found among the warring gangs and drug cartels, but FBI Special Agent Peter Keyes (Busey) knows the horrible truth: Their killer is a fearsome extraterrestrial (Hall) with keen hunting abilities that include superior night vision and the power to make itself invisible.

I have been a fan of PREDATOR 2 ever since I saw it on VHS when I was a kid. It's very different from what came before, but awesome in its own way. Scroll down for more Black Sheep episodes and some badass clips from PREDATOR 2!
