The Last Drive-In: Bruce Campbell joins Joe Bob Briggs this Friday

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Joe Bob Briggs has scored yet another awesome guest for his Shudder series The Last Drive-In. In fact, this Friday, May 21st, he will be welcoming two awesome guests onto the show. They are the iconic Bruce Campbell and filmmaker William Lustig, whose directing credits include Maniac and Vigilante.

Joe Bob usually keeps the movies in his weekly double features a secret until it's time to introduce them on the show, but the fact that Campbell and Lustig are both going to be on this episode really gives away the fact that one of the movies is going to be Maniac Cop. The clues for this week's double features are:

The first movie stars two drive-in heartthrobs. The second continues a partnership made in drive-in heaven."

The first movie must be Maniac Cop, with the heartthrobs being Bruce Campbell and Tom Atkins. But what will the second be? All three Maniac Cop movies are on the Shudder streaming service, so it could be Maniac Cop 2

On The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs

the world’s foremost drive-in movie critic hosts eclectic horror movie double features, expounding upon their merits, histories and significance to genre cinema. Shudder and Briggs first teamed up in July 2018, for the 24-hour marathon intended to be Briggs’ final farewell to televised movie hosting. Due to overwhelming popular demand, Shudder brought The Last Drive-In back as a weekly series and for multiple holiday specials.

The show is produced by Matt Manjourides and Justin Martell, and directed by Austin Jennings.
