Remember that genie movie from the 90s starring Sinbad called SHAZAAM? Or the loveable Berenstein Bears?
Of course you don't (and if you do, you're mistaken). That movie is KAZAAM with Shaq and yes, it is indeed BerenstAIn Bears, and not BerenstEIn Bears. However, enough people don't like admitting they're wrong, so instead of fessing up, they came up with their own theory for their ineptness: The Mandela Effect. Essentially, the Mandela Effect is the theory that there are multiple universes, and that either people have stumbled upon them, or that time-travelers have subtly changed things, altering small details of our world. It got its name from the bizarre case of many people believing that Nelson Mandela died in prison — going so far as to “recall” clips from a televised funeral. The only real interesting part is how many people seem to be wrong about the same things.
Now it appears a film about the Mandela Effect is on its way (appropriately-titled THE MANDELA EFFECT). And, to be honest, it's not a terrible idea for a movie. Multiple universes and realities have been used to great effect in things like STAR TREK, FRINGE, and SLIDING DOORS, so anything is possible. I'll keep an open mind, even if I hate the theory myself.
