The Monster Trucks trailer features exactly that. Where is your God now?

Sometimes there’s a movie that comes along that makes you stop and go, “Yeah. They did that.” MONSTER TRUCKS is that film. Featuring some young adults, including Havok himself, Lucas Till, this story seems to revolve around a boy who discovers a monster. A monster who just happens to enjoy living in a truck. A truck that the boy drives around with the monster in it. You have to see it for yourself!

Okay, so I’m not the target audience for MONSTER TRUCKS. In fact, I’d be willing to wager that the target audience will be too busy watching the SyFy channel than heading into theaters to see this, but we’ll see. Considering director Chris Wedge‘s background in directing animated fare like EPIC and ICE AGE, MONSTER TRUCKS begins to make more sense. Not much more, though.

MONSTER TRUCKS opens in theaters on January 13, 2017.
