Inventive zombie flick The Night Eats the World gets trailer & poster

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

I've heard a million-gazillion movie titles in my time, and I'm hard-pressed to think of one better than Dominique Rocher's upcoming zombie movie THE NIGHT EATS THE WORLD. And if you dig the film's title as much as I do, then you'll want to make sure to check out the film's poster and trailer, both of which have just dropped this afternoon.

Check out the trailer above and the poster below!

The movie was written by Rocher along with Guillaume Lemans, & Jérémie Guez and stars renowned Norwegian actor Anders Danielsen, Golshifteh Farahani, and Denis Lavant. It begins

After waking up in an apartment the night after a raging party, Sam comes face to face with his new reality: an army of zombies have invaded the streets of Paris and he is one of the lone survivors. Petrified with fear, he barricades himself inside the building to survive. He wonders how long can he last in silence and solitude, and the answer comes when he learns that he’s not all alone after all.

I've been hearing great word-of-mouth concerning this film since it premiered at this year's Tribeca Film Festival, including peeps saying the movie is the most inventive zombie flick since SHAUN OF THE DEAD. A bold statement, for sure. I can't imagine the film reaches the heights of Wright and Pegg's masterpiece, but here's hoping it gives the classic horror-comedy as run for its money.

In a fun side-note before we wrap up here, the French production was actually shot in both French and English. Cool, right? Like making movies isn't hard enough. All the same, the flick will, once again, be hitting theaters and VOD via Blue Fox Entertainment July 13th. Will you be giving it a watch?
