According to THR, Persistent Entertainment, Pantry Films and Zenescope Entertainment have joined forces to bring the latter’s comic book THE PIPER to the big-screen, and do so with a much darker tinge than the story originally calls for. Dan Keston and Matthew Rhodes will produce.
Not sure if you’re a PIPER follower, but the flick:
Aims to take a dark look at the Pied Piper of Hamelin fable. The story will center on a much-bullied high school band student who unintentionally channels the spirit of the mysterious Pied Piper and triggers terrifying consequences of his actions beyond his control.
Nice, a supernatural revenge flick set under the tableau of fairytale. Beats that damn Harry Pott…oh, wait.
No word on casting or directing yet. Stay tuned!
