Badass Digest had some words with a good source near the Batcamp about THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Devin at Badass Digest feels pretty confident that the info is solid, but with all Bats related rumors you never know. Nolan and his people like to throw everyone off course, keeping the goods all to themselves.
Here comes the possible plot. Devin states that it could technically be a MAJOR SPOILER if it turns out to be true. So if you want to be left in the dark don’t read the red text:
“As she herself confirmed, Anne Hathaway will be Catwoman in the movie. I can’t tell you what role she has in the beginning, but by the end of the story Catwoman isn’t a villain but rather an ally of Batman. And who are they teaming up to take out?”
“The League of Shadows.”
“Headed by Talia Al’Ghul. With Bane, who is her muscle/possible love interest. And with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in tow. Is he playing Black Mask? My source didn’t know, but did know that Levitt is certainly an antagonist and involved with the League of Shadows.”
When it comes to Talia and Bane, as far as I know that was a love connection that was set up by Daddy al Ghul. He thought Bane could lead the League of Shadows, but she wasn’t into him so Ra’s gave that idea up. I know for a fact that Black Mask and Catwoman have crossed paths. However, I don’t remember if Batman interfered or not. Still, Catwoman does go after Black Mask and Nolan could have Batman help her out.
