…if you really care about knowing what the few-minute short in front of CARS 2 is going to consist of, which I think is safe to say won’t feature any massive plot twists.
I’d heard previously that the short featuring Toy Story characters, was going to focus on Ken and Barbie, but this synopsis (pulled from an upcoming storybook about the bit) further elaborates on that.
Bonnie is off to Hawaii, and Barbie and Ken are excited to go along on their first tropical vacation! But when they’re accidentally left behind, it’s up to Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the toys to create a Hawaiian paradise right in Bonnie’s room.
That’s great, and I’m sure it will be charming, but does that mean this is in place of the original short we see in front of every Pixar movie? I really do look forward to those, and it seems rather easy to just have old characters being funny for three minutes. But hey whatever, Pixar can do what they want. And I what I hope they want next is to make an INCREDIBLES sequel.
