The Punisher stars Jon Bernthal and Thomas Jane visited the shooting range together

The Punisher (2004) star Thomas Jane and the Punisher of the Netflix and Disney+ era, Jon Bernthal, recently hung out at a shooting range

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is dabbling in the multiverse these days, which is how we get Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland sharing the screen as three different versions of Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Patrick Stewart playing Professor X in the MCU film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Hugh Jackman reprising the role of Wolverine for Deadpool 3, etc. One character who isn’t likely to be involved with multiverse shenanigans is The Punisher – but Taran Tactical has shared a video that brings two actors who have played The Punisher together! Thomas Jane and Jon Bernthal both visited the shooting range recently, and a video of the time they spent shooting together can be seen at the bottom of this article.

Jane played the Marvel Comics character The Punisher in the 2004 film of the same name. Bernthal first played the role in episodes of the Netflix series Daredevil, then his version of The Punisher got his own show for two seasons. The Netflix era of Marvel TV shows ran its course, but Daredevil is getting a new series on Disney+ called Daredevil: Born Again – and it was recently confirmed that Bernthal will be playing The Punisher again on that show.

Before Jane took on the role, The Punisher was played by Dolph Lundgren in a 1989 film that is more entertaining that its reputation might lead you to believe. Between Jane and Bernthal, Ray Stevenson played The Punisher in 2008’s awesomely bonkers Punisher: War Zone. Sadly, Stevenson passed away unexpectedly earlier this month at the age of 58.

While at Taran Tactical together, Jane and Bernthal got to try out the Genesis Gen-12 and Pit Viper 2011 that were used in John Wick: Chapter 4. Here’s what it looked like when the former Punisher and the current Punisher tried out those guns:

After seeing this video, I’m kind of wishing Marvel would do some kind of multiverse Punisher special. Would you like to see the Thomas Jane and Jon Bernthal versions of The Punisher cross paths? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
