Fox’s revamped ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW has been on a casting tear recently (click HERE for all updates), and today they’ve brought in yet another name: Broadway legend Ben Vereen (pictured below).

Vereen will play Dr. Everett Scott, an ex-science teacher now working for the Bureau of Investigation looking into UFOs who ends up at the castle while searching for his nephew, Eddie. The role was played in the 1975 film by Jonathan Adams (pictured above).

Vereen joins Laverne Cox, Ryan McCartan, Adam Lambert, Victoria Justice, Reeve Carney, Annaleigh Ashford, Christina Milian and Tim Curry in THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, which is being directed by Kenny Ortega and due to air this fall.

In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad and Janet, stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker and a creepy butler. Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named “Rocky.”
