The Rogue Cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past hits July 14th

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

There's been talk of an extended cut of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST since before the film came out last summer, and now that cut is almost upon us. Dubbed the 'Rogue Cut', the biggest alteration would be the insertion of scenes featuring (you guessed it) Anna Paquin's Rogue. The new cut is more than 17 minutes longer, and according to director Bryan Singer will feature a few other alterations aside from the beloved mutant. You can check out his original announcement below.

Rogue was a pivotal character in the original X-MEN, but I always felt that they really didn't know what to do with her after that. I didn't miss her in DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, but I'm absolutely curious to check out this new cut when it hits in two months' time. The X-Men franchise, despite having a lot of potential, has really only had two solid installments in my opinion. FUTURE PAST was definitely one of them, so this new cut should hold us over until APOCALYPSE gets here!

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST – ROGUE CUT will hit Blu-ray, DVD and On-Demand on July 14, 2015.

As far as Quicksilver goes, I think Bryan Singer did it better!
