Well folks with the onslaught of alien-related flicks heading our way in the next couple years comes a new project from Lionsgate UK and PeaPie Films. My gut feeling is that this new project, titled THE FALLEN, sounds pretty awesome but then again I can’t help but feel we’ve seen this before. I’ll go ahead and let you guys decide.
Irish director Ruairi Robinson has already been tapped with the task of helming this little diddy with a script from Andrew Will. You guys want the rundown on THE FALLEN don’t you? Check it:
THE FALLEN is about an alien spaceship that crash lands in Russia. When it creates a 400-mile electronic dead-zone, international special ops teams are sent in to neutralize it.
See what I mean? Sounds like it has loads of potential, albeit unoriginal. Then again maybe I’m just losing my mind. Wouldn’t be the first time.
THE FALLEN is set to start shooting in early 2012 with a budget of around $35 million. You can bet we’ll be keeping a close eye on this one in the coming months so be sure to check back regularly for more on THE FALLEN.
