Warner Bros. has just unleashed the new bloody, action-packed, and hilarious trailer for James Gunn's (Guardians of the Galaxy, Slither) upcoming sequel to the DCEU's Suicide Squad, simply-titled The Suicide Squad! Super-Villains Harley Quinn, Bloodsport, Peacemaker and a collection of cons at Belle Reve prison join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X where they are heavily-armed and dropped off at the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese.

Now this is how you do an R-rated DC movie right! Look, humor! Colors! Well-choreographed action scenes! Characters with personality! Who knew that these things would be so sorely needed to make an entertaining comic book movie? Luckily Gunn does, and also glad to see he's been given free reign to let loose some of his old, dormant Troma gross-out tendencies (look at King Shark rip that dude like a goddamn Mortal Kombat Fatality!)
Anyway, The Suicide Squad – starring Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, and Sylvester Stallone – will be coming only to theaters August 6th!
