It was only hours ago that Jake treated us all to a few new stills from James McTeigue’s upcoming flick THE RAVEN and now here I am with a trailer for this beast!
I suppose it makes sense considering today marks the 162nd anniversary of Edgar Allan Poe’s death, so why not remember the man with some new stills and a trailer? I’ve gone ahead and tossed the intense new trailer for the flick up in our videos section and directly below, but if you want to tap that shite in HD you can pop right on over to Apple. Without giving the whole flick away I think the trailer does a pretty bang-up job of showing us what we can expect. And the verdict is? Awesome! THE RAVEN is a gritty thriller in which Edgar Allan Poe joins forces with a young Baltimore detective to hunt down a mad serial killer who’s using Poe’s own works as the basis in a string of brutal murders.
Then again I’m a sucker for anything with John Cusak, and it looks like he’s going to tear it up in this one. Along with Cusak the flick is also set to star Alice Eve (below), Luke Evans, Brendan Gleeson, Dave Legeno, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Pam Ferris. It’s set to hit theaters everywhere on March 9, 2012 so expect a lot more RAVEN goods to roll our way as we get closer to that date.
