A trailer has arrived online for writer/director Michael Mohan’s erotic thriller The Voyeurs, which will be released through the Amazon Prime streaming service on September 10th. You can check it out in the embed above, and see the film’s poster below.

Starring Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria), Justice Smith (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), Ben Hardy (Bohemian Rhapsody), and Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Society), The Voyeurs centers on

a young couple who move into their dream apartment, only to find their windows look directly into a unit across the street — a volatile and attractive couple who captivate the pair. When they attempt to anonymously intercede in their lives, they unwittingly set in motion a chain of events that will lead to disaster.

The film was produced by Greg Gilreath and Adam Hendricks of Divide/Conquer, with Zac Locke executive producing.

Mohan, who previously created the short-lived Netflix series Everything Sucks!, had this to say about the project:

We live in a strange era where it is entirely socially acceptable to peer into the lives of complete strangers by looking at the manicured and cultivated version of the lives, they’d like us to think they lead. With ‘The Voyeurs,’ we’re asking a simple question: Is it okay to watch? I’m thrilled to be working with Amazon Studios to bring back the erotic thriller genre with this film.”

Mohan also directed the films One Too Many Mornings and Save the Date.

The Voyeurs is meant to be the first in a series of “sexy date night” thrillers that Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke intends to bring to Amazon Prime. Erotic thrillers can be a lot of fun to watch from time to time, and there’s not enough of them being made outside of Lifetime. The Voyeurs looks to be an entertaining one, so I will be checking this movie out next month for sure.
