It’s hard to believe it’s been a whole day since our last “The Walking Dead” update, isn’t it? Actually it’s been longer than a day! Something must’ve stopped production! Note the heavy use of sarcasm.
Worry not ladies and gentlemen. “The Walking Dead” is alive and well. Actually to prove that very statement we’ve got a trio of “Walking Dead” updates for you guys to feed on today! Where to begin?!
First up the guys over at Ain’t It Cool News not only have a beautifully detailed report from the set of series, but they’ve also got a look at another shot of Andrew Lincoln as our hero ‘Rick Grimes!’ You can glimpse that shite below but you’ll want to click through for a larger, full scale look at the still. So what is Mr. Grimes doing in this shot? Well he’s “about to shoot an 8 year old little girl zombie in the head” of course!
Next up, courtesy of The Walking Dead Podcast, we’ve got three more behind the scenes shots from the set. Above you’ll find one of the shots, showcasing a pretty beat up bus. I suppose it’s true what they say about public transportation huh? Click through on that shot above for a look at a couple others involving a horse and a tank.. I’m not kidding.
And lastly, according to the always-solid IMDB, two more names have joined the relatively unknown cast of “The Walking Dead.” Those names are Keith Allen Hayes and Steve Warren. Now not much is known about this specific casting but IMDB states that Warren will be playing a zombie in the film while internet speculation has Hayes pegged as the character ‘Tyrese.’ So there’s that.
An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months, society has crumbled: There is no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV. Rick Grimes finds himself one of the few survivors in this terrifying future. A couple months ago he was a small town cop who had never fired a shot and only ever saw one dead body. Separated from his family, he must now sort through all the death and confusion to try and find his wife and son. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally begin living.
Hayes and Warren join Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Jeffrey DeMunn, Linds Edwards, Addy Miller, Sarah Wayne Callies (below), Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs, IronE Singleton, Laurie Holden, Emma Bell and Jim R. Coleman in the Frank Darabont project. The series is set to premiere on AMC this October so keep it here for more on “The Walking Dead” as we hear it!
