The Wraith: Exclusive clip from the new Vestron Video Blu-ray release!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

The latest Blu-ray release in the Vestron Video Collectors Series is one of my all-time favorite movies, the 1986 supernatural revenge thriller The Wraith. The Blu-ray is now available, and you can buy a copy at THIS LINK! To celebrate the release, we're proud to share an EXCLUSIVE clip from one of the disc's special features, in which the legendary Clint Howard discusses working with his The Wraith co-star Charlie Sheen, as well as with Johnny Depp. Depp isn't in The Wraith, as the producers overruled writer/director Mike Marvin when he wanted to give him a role, but Depp did hang around the set of the film because he was dating lead actress Sherilyn Fenn at the time.

The Wraith has the following synopsis:

When four glowing orbs crash into each other over the Arizona desert, they leave in their wake a badass Dodge Turbo Interceptor — and its enigmatic, helmeted driver. The next day, the mysterious Jake (Sheen) appears in the town of Brooks, catching the eye of Keri (Fenn) and the ire of Packard (Nick Cassavetes), the ruthless leader of a gang of street racers. When gang members start losing races — and lives — to the Interceptor, the recent death of Keri’s boyfriend suddenly seems connected to the arrival of Jake, the unbeatable car… and an avenging entity called The Wraith.

In addition to Sheen, Fenn, Howard, and Nick Cassavetes, the film stars Randy Quaid, Matthew Barry, Griffin O'Neal, and Chris Nash, with an appearance by Elizabeth Cox of the 1989 slasher Intruder, plus David Sherrill and Jamie Bozian as the unforgettable duo of Skank and Gutterboy.

Vestron has assembled the following special features for the Blu-ray release:
