A former boy band member does everything in his power to maintain his celebrity status when it becomes clear that his solo album is a failure in the mockumentary, POPSTAR: NEVER STOP NEVER STOPPING. Andy Samberg and the Lonely Island crew have seen some serious success with their SNL shorts and albums, but now they're carrying over their lampooning of modern pop music to the film medium! How's it looking? Well, I can tell you that this trailer does feature one overrated piece of shit!

Is it just me, or was that the WAR OF THE WORLDS siren that went off when they turned on the giant headlight? I'm actually a pretty mild fan of the Lonely Island crew, but I do love a good mockumentary. POPSTAR looks like it goes for a lot of the easy jokes, although I admittedly loved the proposal towards the end of the trailer! Here's hoping the film has more of that!

POPSTAR: NEVER STOP NEVER STOPPING hits theaters on June 3, 2016.
