Things are looking a little green on the set of X-Men: Apocalypse

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

The last we saw of Bryan Singer‘s updates from the X-MEN: APOCALYPSE set, he was showing Sophie Turner some of his sweet archery skills. What we have here is a video of some of that action, as well as prep for another scene being shot featuring some major greenscreen action and rotating doohickey (technical movie terms, folks).

Nice to see the crew still sporting #XmenDOFP sweats. #spinningmirror #Xmen #XmenApocalypse

How cool must it be to be on-set of the biggest X-MEN film thus far? Granted, it’s their job, but still. I’d argue that the X-series hasn’t really lived up to its full potential (despite X2 and DAYS OF FUTURE PAST being a blast). Given that APOCALYPSE promises destruction on a worldwide scale, I think we’re going to see something that stands toe-to-toe with what Marvel’s AVENGERS have accomplished, action-wise. If Singer can keep the film focused and deliver some lovely character moments, I’m all for it!

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
